I’m Jay, a 23 year old artist from Seattle, WA currently based in Chicago. I work in freelance animation & illustration for indie studio Kissing Party, other individual clients, and past collaborations between KP and Adult Swim.

 

Ever since I can remember, I have been constantly doodling on anything I could get my hands on. When I was a kid it used to make my teachers furious when I drew all over my homework, but now it’s what I spend all my time doing! My primary medium is animation, but my interest in traditional art is just as strong.

 

Although most of my time is spent as an animator and character designer, I also enjoy painting, making comics, screenprinting and experimenting with traditional materials. My art primarily focuses on silhouette, storytelling, and character. I try to make art that reflects the people I see in real life through my own personal stylization and exaggeration, without focusing on realism.
